A HQDC bypass of Limerick is currently half complete, with the missing half under construction. This is a major project to sink twin road tunnels under the River Shannon and will eventually, after some upgrade work, link with a motorway to Galway at the northern end and the M20 motorway to Cork at the southern. This section should be redesignated motorway so as to extract maximum value from the infrastructural investment. | ||||
