a weblog about girleens that travel. read of their adventures!

Kay, maybe not all that dramatic but its raining so much here in Kolkata since we’ve arrived that sone roads, and ours in particular, are almost continually flooded. The first night it was a bit of an adventure coming home from the pub where we met Lisa and Kathleen for drinks, especially after Lisa told us to watch out cos they open the man-holes to help drain the roads and people often fall into them, now however we’d like it to all stop so we can do a bit of sight-seeing (well now we’ll see how the weather and Lids are doing). The rain actually stopped an hour and a half ago but the paper said to expect rain for the next 48 hours so I’m not holding my breath. Was watching the news earlier about the re-categorizing of Hurricane Wilma, hope it doesn’t cause too much damage.
