I didn’t have new memory cards for ages in Cambodia so I completely missed out on the boat ride from Siem Reap to Battambang, and the snake I ate on it, and on all of Phnom Pehn but here we are finally in Kampot and Kep. The last leg of Cambodia.
This is to commemorate our last day taking Pauladrine. Dee never had to take it but she felt our pain through our complaints every day. Really they were disgusting. If you ever have to take malaria tablets, I’d strongly suggest something else.
The first day we were in Kampot, a really lazy little town in the south of Cambodia, we got bicycles and on our way back in the searing heat found this little gem of a local pub. Really cheap beer and your own little hut.
View from our bamboo hut with beer.
Relaxing against the reed walls.
Lids watching for the next branches to hit our heads on our bumpy journey up Bokor Hill.
Dee and I looking very calm on our death defying ride to Bokor Hill.
Looking cool, calm and collected before our 2 hour jungle trek.
In the jungle, the mighty jungle, the lion sleeps tonight…
Lids pretending to be happy while listening to the most dire jokes.
Dee taking it all in her stride, leaps and bounds over every obstacle.
Lids strikes a pose
Excitement of lunch and waterfall is coming over me.
I had 2 pictures of the waterfall that we were under to have a gorgeous, freezing shower to add here but I buggered em up while uploading, ah well!
This is the casino hotel that was at the deserted ghost town at Bokor Hill. Lindsey asked us all if any of us would stay up here at night for 10000 euro and I have to say I would. She wouldn’t have though.
View from the casino down to the coast.
A toast in the dark from Julian, Lindsey and Dee.
Lids, Etai and Sarah on our dark boat down the Mekong River.
Our Dutch couple Stephen en Nicolette, you’ll see more of these guys from our Christmas photos.
Dee dancing out of the toilet and ready to brave our messy evening with the Bokor Hill gang in Blissful Guesthouse. It was all ahead of us here!
Happy Birthday Tacky (aka Colma)
Have a great day.Sorry Im not there but i ll b thinking of you partying away in Dublin.Love Tacky Eile
Tee love the pics. That was such a brill day in Boker hill, especially our near death experiences when are pick up truck nearly collided with another one as we zoomed down the mountain the many low lying branches.Such a terrfying moment but also funny.Duck and Dive is all we kept saying.I think at one stage Lindsay(pilot from Uk)got hit with a branch and then poor Julian her boyfriend caught the end of it.Occhh.We all couldnt stop laughing, we were all covered in mud at the end of it.Some real Indiana moments.
Yeh Tee the paludrine Malaria tablets were manky.Poor Dee had to listen to us every morning gagging for about 5minutes.Once a week we had to take 4tablets.It was horrible. We recomment the Doxycline for any future travellers, though some days it didnt agree with Rambo Dee.
Stunning photos, h0t ch1xx0rz! W00t! You look great girls, though I’m usually biased
We’ll have to hear more about these alleged card problems and the like, and in fact everything else! The slowdown in posts here says to me you girls are having far too good a time to worry about the site or rubbish like that; fantastic!
Well Kev its actually laziness though there is ample amounts of fun alright!
happy new years everybody
