Well I’m on my last full day and night in Hawaii. Tomorrow night I say “Aloha” to Hawaii for the all out huge madness that will be LA. To be honest talking to other people and their impressions/hatred of LA was making me apprehensive but sure I’ve come to my senses now. If I coped with India then I can cope with anything! I’m probably going to stay in Hollywood, just off the Walk of Fame, which will be mad altogether. There’s going to be so much to see and do. Anyway before all that I’ll enlighten ye to what I’ve been up to the last few days. Well I last wrote from the Big Island and since the wonders of the Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park I’ve dipped myself in a hot thermal pool, sampled some wonderful food, been awed by amazing waterfalls, burned my feet on hot black volcanic sand, navigated a torrent river (read here a bit of an exaggeration), unwittingly flirted with passing hikers (I was trying to dry my shorts and had to get into my bikini and lie in wait to do this), got a lift up a steep climb in the back of a pick-up truck and kayaked out to an amazing snorkelling spot, which rivalled anything I’ve seen before. The best things I’ve seen here in Hawaii have been the pristine beaches, the volcanoes, giant green sea turtles (considering a tattoo of these, mention nothing to the Pops), the snorkelling and today in general so far. Plus another first, when Fereshte and I rented our automobile we paid for insurance, which everyone should do but isn’t mandatory here in the gun ho US of A, and I actually got to use it, it wasn’t wasted money cos I ripped the plastic off the bottom of the car over a rock. Its all new experiences and change here! Oh, want to mention I just got an email from our wonderful Perth hosts Kasia and Gerry, who have decided that they’re getting married in Connemara next year. This brings the total of wedding set for next year of people I know personally to 4. If anyone else is planning to get married know that I’m going to have to start re-hashing my clothing. First up will be my secondary school buddy and her fiance, Sarah and Alan, then there’s Silken band-member Nicky, who’s marrying my sister-in-law’s brother Boris, then in September there’s June and David, and finally Kasia and Gerry. Phew! Seriously, 2007 is lucky for some alright! I’m very excited about all these wonderful events of course, but the saving starts when I come home alright. My Pops isn’t even going to be home when I get home on October 5th, however he is preparing the house for parties, which I wasn’t really planning on having but must now have to save face to my family, with lots of freezered meat and alcoholic beverages. Don’t ya just love Pops O’Reilly? I’m going to have to think seriously about letting any French people near the property though. They always seem to get the goods gone! Just joking, maybe… So my Rule of Travel for today? Ladies, when you go into a bar alone, order a drink, then fish around for your ID and the change to make up the drink and maybe you too will get a free one! Or maybe its just cos I’m Irish, or me. Probably Irish though in all fairness.
Just heard about Steve Irwin. Death by Stingray? Didn’t see that one coming.
strange really considering that fish is pretty meek compared to a river full of crocs!!
Hey Tee .. thoroughly enjoyed catching up on ur Honolulu adventures - I’m sure u’ll have a few more in LA and no doubt make up ur own mind on the wonders of Hollywood ..Hollywood ..Bollywood eh - or perhaps 1 in the same .. I think id prefer Bollywood better ..Anywho enough raving from me .. Hope all goes well in US .. Safe trip there

It was an interesting couple of weeks then; nothing you could mention publicly I’d say…
Bollywood’s just as krazy I’d say. Still haven’t managed to get a clear view of the Hollywood sign cos its too smoggy but there ya go. Never saw the Hoff’s house. I’ll stalk him on my way back through. Take one for the team, eh Amanda! I don’t know if Irwin’s death is the definition of irony but I’d say its near enough. I can publicly declare that there’s nothing to declare. Except for the venomous snakes I smuggled to Hawaii, on sorry, whoops, that was the film I watched last night. I’m a bit star struck here in Hollywood.

I’m not sure what that rampager is suggesting either Black Jacket, but methinks that we should not even bother to ask! No Hoff sightings yet, unfortunately but I’m keeping 2 eyes open. Hoffdar is ready and able!
