Don’t they all look so happy! Some of my nephews and nieces with Pops in the sun out the back garden before the party. From left to right: Baby Joseph (Derek’s kid), Fiona, Sebastian (Shelly’s), Zoe (Joseph’s), Pops, Christina (Derek’s) and Colin (Shelly’s)
At the party Nicole, Sebastian, Fiona, Colin, moi and Christina. All Shelly’s sprogs except for Christina.
Sebastian, the cheeky little git, kept getting in all the photos Shelly took. Here he’s in between my brother Joseph and my buddy, his wife (sorry for the match-make mix-up!) Diana.
Anita and Paddy Mulhare. Anita was one of my mam’s best friends and so I’ve always called them aunt and uncle. Anita makes the best & most lethal home-made Baileys you’ll ever taste, and they’re both very good to our family. Gems. Sebastian’s in the middle again, he was trying to get a sip of Guinness all night, but Anita kept catching him.
Diana’s best friend Drazen.
Nicole and Derek get more food ready for the hoards.
Derek single-handedly organised a delicious spread for the evening. Look at the heads diving in.
Right here Pops is saying, “Would ya ever go away out of that you gobshite!”, while I try to get one nice picture with him. Such an eloquent man.
Fiona snuggling up to talent Nicky O’Reilly, you’ll see a lot more pics of her next week when I get photos.
Nicole looking gorgeous, but so grown up. God, that means I’m grown-up! Aargh! I remember singing to her for hours when she was a toddler. Time goes by so fast.
What a little poser! He looks so smug!
Shelly from the side, with Diana at the back and Zoe shining those eyes one would kill for.
Dragging Pops up to the middle of the floor for his presentations. His knee was extremely bad that night, which pissed him off a bit, but he martyred on.
All the kids had a letter of GRANDDAD with a word to say for it. Jordan’s (one of Derek’s sprogs) was D for Deadly, I think.
All the Sprogs hold up their letters. Shauna’s the letter “R”, she’s one of Derek’s lot.
Shauna made up the funniest speech about how caring, patient and wonderful Pops is. Well I cracked up, as ya can see.
My cousin Collette and Aunt Bernie.
Pops with his elder sister Agnes.
Twas a great night altogether, I wish I could have stayed for longer. You all looked fantastic.
It was a great night altogether, such a shame you couldn’t stick around cos the party went on and on like an Energiser bunny. Then again, there’s always another party.
