Nollaig Shona Daoibh!
Here’s wishing you all the best this crisp clear Christmas Day in Dublin. I spent a lovely Christmas Eve by myself with some cheery Christmas tunes, wrapping presents and lighting a candle for my mam and peace on earth (that last prayer was from the beauty queens). Christmas is a time when, after we’ve partied ourselves out, we can sit back and reflect on the good, the bad and the indifferent. I don’t know why, but bad things seem to happen in the run up to Christmas, but as I believe, everything happens for a reason, and it’s just another mystery of life why it has to be when people want something to be joyous about. To anyone having a tough time this Christmas, know that no matter how down things can get there’s always family you were born to, or that you’ve chosen for yourselves in your friends, and family and friends are precious to your sanity, and life.
So I’m off to visit some neighbours for a glass of hot whiskey and some chocolates to ruin my Christmas dinner!
Merry Christmas one and all!
